See Dr. Corbitt for an Exam and Cleaning Twice a Year

December 31, 2013

general dentistryIn our last post, we talked some about the general, cosmetic, and restorative services you’ll find at Dr. Renee Corbitt’s Fort Worth dental office. Today we’d like to zero in specifically on the topic of dental exams and cleanings.

As we said last time, every patient, regardless of age, should have an exam and cleaning with us twice a year. During the exam portion of your visit, Dr. Renee Corbitt will look for some of the most common oral health problems a patient can face. Those include:

  • Gum disease
  • Tooth decay
  • Teeth grinding, or bruxism
  • TMJ disorder
  • Oral cancer

All of these issues come with symptoms, but not every patient will experience those symptoms in the same way. Sometimes patients don’t experience any obvious symptoms at all, which is why oral exams are important. Dr. Corbitt can look for any of these and then recommend a personalized treatment plan if anything is found. Leaving any of these issue untreated could have a serious impact on a patient’s good oral health and overall wellbeing.

The cleaning portion of a regular appointment is just as important. Regular brushing and flossing will do a lot to protect your teeth and gums, but some areas of the mouth are harder to reach than others. Our hygienist will thoroughly clean every corner of your smile, clearing away harmful bacteria, plaque, and calculus. We can also offer you important oral health care tips while you’re with us.

Do you need to schedule an exam and cleaning with Dr. Corbitt? Call us today. We’re happy to serve patients of all ages from Fort Worth and surrounding communities.
